大腸癌的發生年齡層有逐漸年輕化的趨勢！苗栗大千綜合醫院近日連續出現兩起年輕人大腸癌阻塞腸道的案例，初期皆無症狀，等到開始脹痛不適時，已為大腸癌第三期，外科主任馮啟彥醫師提醒，平日要有警覺性，若出現大腸癌相關症狀，一定要盡速就醫。
兩起年輕人大腸癌阻塞腸道的案例分別為，第一例是卅三歲的男子，平日以外食為主，且長期抽菸，數日前開始腹脹、腹痛，但無明顯血便，到急診就醫時，已出現腸道完全阻塞、腹脹嚴重及嘔吐現象，經電腦斷層掃描後發現為一個六公分大的乙狀結腸腫瘤阻塞腸道，經馮啟彥主任施行腹腔鏡手術切除後，證實為第三期的大腸癌，目前接受化療，復原狀況良好。
第二個案例是廿八歲的男子，平日不抽菸、不喝酒且重視養生，過去幾個月因為腹脹、腹痛在北部兩家醫院來回就診十一次，甚至到大千急診前一星期，才剛從北部醫院住院五天治療，但卻都被當成腸胃炎的狀況處理。直到因腹痛難耐，被送至大千急診時，已腹脹痛到呈現腹膜炎現象，電腦斷層掃描發現，一樣是乙狀結腸巨大腫瘤壓迫阻塞腸道，施行腹腔鏡手術順利切除大腸腫瘤，因為第三期大腸癌，目前也在接受化療中。
馮啟彥主任表示，大腸癌若發生在右側常出現血便，左側則較容易腸阻塞，狀況較不同，現今大腸癌多數都可採用微創手術切除，傷口小且復原快。近年因食安風暴的關係，大腸癌的罹患年齡層已經越來越年輕化，且初期都沒有特別症狀，因此平日裡要留意大腸癌的相關症狀，才能早期診斷、早期治療。
